Diamond Setting Guarantee

We will guarantee the setting of your diamond jewellery or ring for the duration of your guarantee, provided it is inspected by one of our sales associates once a year and any recommended remedial work is carried out by Fitzgerald Jewellers.

For the guarantee to remain valid, any recommended work must be undertaken when advised, and within one month of your setting check. This guarantee is not intended to cover the costs of recommended routine restoration.

Our associates will contact you when an inspection is due. We recommend booking an appointment to visit us for your annual setting check when you receive your reminder.

​

Complimentary Annual Cleaning

You can enjoy a complimentary clean of your diamond jewellery or ring during your annual inspection, returning your item to its original brilliance. To extend our gratitude to you in choosing Fitzgerald Jewellers, we will polish your item free of charge for the first year. This includes complimentary rhodium plating.

Fitzgerald Jewellers will maintain records of any works carried out to your item.

Preferential Service Rates

If we recommend any remedial setting work, this is available at a preferential rate to you as a 10 Year Diamond Guarantee Holder. We will also offer this preferential rate on future polishing, resizing and repair services for all items in your jewellery collection.

This offer is valid for the Diamond Guarantee Holder only. Preferential repair service rates are only valid for jewellery items. This offer is not valid on watch servicing or repairs. Our repair prices are reviewed on an annual basis.

Guaranteed Trade-In Value

Fitzgerald Jewellers will guarantee a trade-in on the full price of your diamond purchase within your guarantee period, provided the new purchase is twice the trade in value. This will only be valid trusting the annual inspections are up to date and your item has been assessed as being in resaleable condition by an authorised sales associate of Fitzgerald Jewellers.

Terms & Conditions

The Diamond Guarantee is contracted to Fitzgerald Jewellers and the Guarantee Holder at the date of activation. Its contents are not transferable in part or whole to any third party, including third party companies of Fitzgerald Jewellers.

Activation of your guarantee is required within one month from the original date of purchase. The Guarantee Holder must retain this guarantee record and present the original copy at each inspection for the guarantee to remain valid.

Fitzgerald Jewellers will maintain records of any works carried out to your item.

Any work carried out by another jewellers will void this guarantee.

​

This Diamond Guarantee covers the principal diamonds in your item. Pavé set or melee diamonds (less than 0.20ct) will not be covered under your guarantee.

This Diamond Guarantee should not be viewed as an insurance policy. It does not cover accidental damage, or loss through theft or neglect. We strongly recommend that your jewellery is included in any existing insurance policies you may hold.

This guarantee does not cover the costs of recommended routine repairs. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. In the unlikely event of a dispute, a resolution will be found by the National Association of Jewellers or a similar party.

Fitzgerald Jewellers reserves the right to amend any of the terms and conditions laid out within this document.
