Taking over the family business in 2002, Trevor turned Fitzgerald Jewellers in a leading designer of fine jewellery, specialised in the creation of highly complex one-off pieces. The shop is situated by Canterbury Cathedral, where you can find many pieces designed and handcrafted by our skilled goldsmith Melisa Bushrod
Passionate about design and craftsmanship and offering what we believe to be the best in bespoke design, hand making skills and customer experience, Mel’s approach to design is as individual as our customers. All traditional craftsmanship, Melanie’s hand draws each piece of jewellery, transforming rough sketches into technical drawings which outline the specific measurements and elements of even the smallest detail. Whilst this process may be time consuming and meticulous, it also ensures that Fitzgerald jewellery has its own unique sensibility and refinement.
During the process of creating unique fine jewellery for our customers, we take them into the journey of jewellery creation, allowing them to see how their selected piece is created from scratch. It is our pleasure to see the excitement of our customers when the final piece is presented.
Moreover, at Fitzgerald Jewellers we believe in making beautiful jewellery that has ethical integrity. Our jewellery is not only beautifully designed but it has a purity of source. We know that the small scale miners who mined the gold were fairly treated. Considering this, during the last two years we have been also working with Fairtrade gold in order to help improve the livelihoods and protect the environments of the people whose lives are affected by our business activities and to promote ethical jewellery.
Therefore, we invite you to our fully equipped workshop to have unique items, carefully constructed to create a stunning visual impact just for you!
